Design and Machine Tools
When we talk about design in this industrial field, we mainly refer to the machine bodywork and thus to the requirement to “closing” some moving parts within a desirable, aesthetic shape.
We talk about an intervention that could be defined as necessary in the functions and distinctive in the shape in a field where, the design role doesn’t just refer to the aesthetic itself, but especially to the coherent representation of the quality of the content (the machine) through the quality of the container (the bodywork).
